Just a reminder, Next Saturday June 7 is the first Saturday of the month. We will be at the Silver Bowl park around 4. Please bring you, your drum, some food, something to drink and a friend if you like. If you can't make it just let us know.

The first Saturday of every month we will be getting together for a Drum circle/picnic at the Silver park around 3pm. This will be starting in May. We're gonna make it a pot luck, so please bring food or drinks, drums and yourselves.

A lot has happened in the last few months. As a member of Brazen Thunder you should be informed. So here we go.

The biggest thing is that at this past Estrella War Brazen and Headless officially merged. I, Tephanie, accepted the position of Matriarch. What does this mean? It means that Dave has help. I hope to take care of as many issues as possible, and to organize more clan get-togethers. I want us to be a family in every way shape and form.

I bring with me the rest of my clan, my husband Jason, Silver bearing red and our daughters Patricia A.K.A. Thunder Pookie Lightning Eyes B.K.A. Pence and EmmaLeigh A.K.A. E.J. Huzzah!
Shortly after Estrella war, Koty was elevated to Silver. She has always been my right hand and my brain. I function better when ever she is around. Everyone should have a Koty.

Next item is that there are to be no more elevations for two years. This means that Prospects stay Prospects; Bronzes stay Bronzes; and Silvers… Well you get the idea. Prospects are always welcome. This is not a permanent situation. Due to how cool we are as a clan, everyone wants to join! (Go ahead and pat yourself on the back!) Our numbers have rocketed in the past two years. Our brains are reeling. So this two year break will give us time to figure out what is happening, who is in our clan and who isn’t, (We are so popular, people who aren’t in our clan even claim to be!) and it will give us a chance to have activities, gatherings, and circles. Jason and I will be moving from England in about a year so these two years will also give us ALL time to get to know our fellow clan mates and become the family that we should be. I hope that you will all respect this decision as it was made out of necessity.

Cheryl has been working her tail off getting together our clan website. On it will be pictures of our gatherings, our names and e-mail addresses, Current news, and most importantly the thunder history as told by someone who was really there! Please take the time to visit the site and read up when ever possible. It’s all important stuff that you should be familiar with.

There has been talk about restructuring the member levels back to way it has been done in the past. I would like to point out some things that I have noticed. Every family has their own customs. If you go to your neighbor’s house; they are going to have different routines, different customs, etc. The same holds true with Thunder clans. Anyone who has been to a grand circle could tell you this. Some clans spank their members with a giant paddle. Some clans have gold and platinum levels. Some clans, the color of your chain is important. The way that we do things, and what we hold important, is what makes us different, unique, and special. We shouldn’t feel pressured by anyone to change who we are, they are no more or less right than we are, But if we would like to change then we can as a clan will make that decision. More on that at a later time!

As for right now this is how it stands:
Prospective --- ½ sized wheel
This is a sign that you would like to become a member of our clan. It gives the person and us a chance to get to know each other before a real commitment is made.
Bronze --- Full sized Bronze Wheel
This is the Best position of all. All you have to do is enjoy being Thunder. Once this wheel has been given to you, It can never be taken away. It’s not only around your neck but in your heart. You are family.
Silver --- A Silver wheel AND/OR Silver lightning bolt hung in the wheel
The work horses, They have shown that they are willing to work hard, that they understand and are able to teach what thunder is, and that they are able to take charge. If you have a question, go to them. They should know the answer

I have always believed that the way to stop rumors from causing anymore harm than they already have, is to face them head on. So, I would like to address some of the issues that have come up recently. At Estrella War we met two really great people. One was given a Bronze by Selene; the other was given a perspective by us. This has caused quite a bit of angst amongst all of G.H.O.S.T. People; including me that had to wait for their wheel even though they felt strongly that Thunder is in their heart, were upset to see someone at their first event ever just get handed a bronze.

Here are the honest facts on this. It is Selene’s right to do this, as well as any clan leader. Selene herself was given a silver Shiken first. Other people that have been handed a bronze without perspectives include Cirus, Paul, Stephanie (elf chick) and Lara just to name a few. All of these people are valued members of Thunder. No one should look poorly on anyone, especially not a Thunder brother. (See bronze description above) Frat boy did not get a bronze because he slept with Selene. We In G.H.O.S.T. do not pass out Candy Shikens, Condom Shikens or any other Shikens with cutesy names that mean they didn’t deserve theirs. No one should be insulted or jealous that they were given a perspective. Most importantly no one should insult/attack someone because of their jealousy. You know who you are. It’s not the Thunder way. Stop.

Next, G.H.O.S.T. business needs to stay G.H.O.S.T. business. Don’t shoot your mouth off to people not in the clans. Talking smack about your own clan makes all of us look bad but more importantly it’s a betrayal. No one can take your Shiken, but no one says you have to stay in the clan. If you are having issues with something, you can come to Dave or me. If we aren’t available there are three silvers in clan that can act in our stead. Petty rumor mongering will only make things worse.

Eww I have to talk about something happy again … There is no happier news than that of love! Some of you may have heard, but I just wanted to officially congratulate Koty and Josh. On February 29th 2008 they were wed. It has been three years since they met at Estrella War 2005. Most of us are very happy. Be sure to congratulate them yourself.

If your name is not on it and it should be, if your name is on it and it shouldn’t be or if your name is on it but with incorrect information, please contact Dave or Myself. People are in order of rank but in each rank there is no real order.

After carefull consideration we have decided to not take in any Bronzes for 2 years. Our clan is fairly new and is growing quickly.
